You will learn from many of our instructors to experience a wide variety of styles rather than one. Some of these include Kripalu, Yin, Restorative, Ashtanga, Hatha, Prenatal, Iyengar, Vinyasa.

 

–FOCUS ON YOGA RATHER THAN JUST POSTURES–

You will learn Yoga Philosophy, Theory, and Meditation from St. Augustine’s most knowledgable spiritual practitioner, Jennifer Jacobsen.Vinyasa.

–LEARN ABOUT THE BODY FROM TRUE EXPERTS–

You will learn Anatomy and Physiology from two Doctors of Physical Therapy, Allyson Sunderman and Christine Rodriguez.

 

–MORE THAN JUST YOGA–

You may also take your training a step further and enroll in our Advanced Course weekend which includes: Yoga for Women’s Health, Holistic Nutrition, Intro to Essential Oils, and Ayurveda

Jennifer Jacobsen is a Nationally Certified and Florida Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, ERYT-200 Yoga Educator, and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider practicing out of City Wellness in St. Augustine, FL. She has been a practitioner of the healing arts since 2004. Jennifer helps to facilitate individual connection to Self through integrative Massage Therapy sessions, Energy Work, Spiritual Guidance, and individual and group Yoga classes and workshops in St. Augustine, FL, and the surrounding areas.

Our training includes the following topics + much more!
-Asana Practice each morning with various instructors to experience many styles
-Asanas, Sun AND Moon Salutations
-Postures: Standing, Balancing, Seated, Twisting, Forward Bending, Back Bending, Intro to Arm Balancing, –Stabilizing, Hip Balancing
-Inversions, Restorative, Yin, Warm Ups
-Theory and Practice of Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Mudras, and Bandhas, Pranayama
-Class Planning and Sequencing
-How to Teach Multi-level Classes
-The business of Yoga
-Anatomy and Physiology
-Chakras and the Anatomy of Energy
-Yoga Philosophy: History, Hhilosophy, the Sutras and Eight Limbs, Ethics, Principals of Existence/Embodiment
-The Language of Yoga (Sanskrit)
In our training you will practice teaching within your small group gradually, a few postures at a time, so that you will feel comfortable teaching to larger groups with ease later.
